INPress International – Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the website https://www.inpressinternational.com (the “Site”) and all associated services (the “Services”): INPress Book Club memberships, author publishing services, professional book review payments, digital/print book access, and user-generated content (UGC) features. By accessing or using the Site/Services, you (“you”, “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Site/Services. INPress International (“we”, “us”, “our”) reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time—changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date.

 

2.1 Eligibility to Use the Site/Services

  • You must be 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Site/Services, including book club signups, author publishing services, and professional book review payments.

  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account (book club, author, or review client) and update this information as needed.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account username/password and for all activities conducted under your account.

  • You may not use the Site/Services if you are prohibited from doing so by applicable law or if you have been suspended/terminated by INPress International.

2.2 Book Club Membership Terms

  • Book club membership is voluntary and non-transferable—you may not share your membership account with third parties.

  • We reserve the right to approve/deny book club membership requests at our sole discretion (e.g., for spam/abuse prevention).

  • Book club members agree to abide by our UGC Content Policy when participating in club discussions, submitting reviews, or posting content on the Site.

  • We may modify book club features (e.g., events, recommendations, fees) at any time—we will notify members of material changes via email.

  • Membership may be terminated by you (via email request) or by us for a violation of these Terms/UGC Policy (with written notice).

 

2.3 Author Publishing Services Terms

  • Authors who purchase our publishing services (“Author Clients”) agree to pay all applicable fees (as outlined in our publishing service agreement) in full and on time—payment is processed via our third-party payment gateways (Stripe/PayPal).

  • Author Clients retain full copyright to their original work(s) unless a separate written copyright agreement is signed. INPress International is granted a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and market the work(s) as part of our publishing services.

  • Author Clients warrant that their work(s) are original, do not infringe on any third-party copyright/trademark/privacy rights, and do not contain illegal, defamatory, or obscene content.

  • INPress International is not liable for any errors, omissions, or delays in publishing unless caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

  • Author Clients agree to provide accurate, complete manuscript materials and respond to our editorial requests in a timely manner to avoid publishing delays.

 

2.4 Professional Book Review Services Terms

  • Clients who purchase our professional book review services (“Review Clients”) agree to pay all applicable fees (as outlined in our review service agreement) in full and on time—payment is processed via our third-party payment gateways (Stripe/PayPal).

  • Review Clients warrant that the book(s) submitted for review are either their original work(s) or they have obtained the necessary permission from the copyright holder to submit the book(s) for review.

  • Our professional book reviews are objective, editorial opinions—we do not guarantee positive review outcomes, and review content is the sole property of INPress International.

  • Review Clients may not reproduce, distribute, or modify our professional book reviews without our explicit written consent (except for sharing the review on personal/author platforms with proper attribution to INPress International).

  • We will deliver the professional book review within the agreed timeframe—delays may occur only due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., manuscript availability), and we will notify Review Clients of any delays promptly.

2.5 Site Use Restrictions

You may not use the Site/Services for any illegal, fraudulent, or abusive purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Uploading/Posting spam, malware, or harmful content.

  • Infringing on third-party copyright, trademark, or privacy rights.

  • Impersonating INPress International, our team, or other users/ authors.

  • Manipulating payment processes or committing payment fraud.

  • Scraping, crawling, or harvesting data from the Site without our explicit written consent.

  • Disrupting the Site’s functionality or interfering with other users’ access to the Site/Services.

2.6 Intellectual Property Rights

  • All content on the Site (excluding UGC and author original works) is the exclusive intellectual property of INPress International: including logos, text, graphics, book previews, professional book reviews, and Site design. This content is protected by copyright/trademark laws and may not be reproduced, distributed, or modified without our explicit written consent.

  • UGC is the intellectual property of the submitting user (see our UGC Content Policy for details).

  • Author original works are the exclusive intellectual property of the author (see Section 2.3).

2.7 Disclaimers of Warranties

  • THE SITE/SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS—INPRESS INTERNATIONAL MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

  • We do not warrant that the Site/Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.

  • We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content on the Site (excluding our professional book reviews, which are provided with reasonable editorial care).

 

2.8 Limitation of Liability

  • INPRESS INTERNATIONAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE/SERVICES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE.

  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim related to the Site/Services shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us for the applicable service (e.g., book club membership fee, publishing service fee, review service fee) in the 12 months prior to the claim.

  • This limitation of liability applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

2.9 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless INPress International, our team, and our third-party service providers from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your violation of these Terms, our Privacy Policy, or our UGC Content Policy.

  • Your use of the Site/Services (including UGC submissions).

  • Your breach of any warranty or representation in these Terms (e.g., original work ownership for authors/review clients).

 

2.10 Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site/Services at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for a violation of these Terms, our Privacy Policy, or our UGC Content Policy.

  • Upon termination, your right to use the Site/Services immediately ceases—you are still bound by the Terms (e.g., intellectual property, indemnification).

  • We may delete your account data and UGC upon termination (per our Privacy Policy data retention requirements).

 

2.11 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [your jurisdiction/country – match your About page], without regard to its conflict of law principles.

  • Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site/Services shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation—if negotiation fails, the dispute shall be submitted to mediation in Hong Kong SAR before any legal action.

  • If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Hong Kong SAR.

 

2.12 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and UGC Content Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and INPress International regarding your use of the Site/Services—superseding all prior oral/written agreements or understandings.
